The Bayou city Art Festival takes place every March in the beautiful Memorial Park. Both artists from the area and from around the country make their way to the Festival to show off their latest creations. Stage performances commence throughout the entire Festival and food vendors are available showcasing tasty local treats. Every year before the Festival, a jury is held during which hundreds of artists' works are reviewed and scrutinized before only a fraction of them are chosen to be displayed in the Festival. This process ensures an interesting variety of artwork and emphasizes the importance of art diversity and uniqueness.
