The Bullock Texas State History Museum in downtown Austin explores the rich history of Texas via three interactive floors entitled "Land," "Identity" and "Opportunity." The respective floors present the chronological history of Texas beginning with its Native American past, then fast-forwarding to the Texas Revolution and its road to individuality and prosperity, and ending with Texas's expedient use of its resources and its role in global political and economic issues. The Museum is fun and intriguing, and by the final exhibit you feel as though you truly understand the complex story of Texas.
