Formerly the private estate of Utah state Senator and mining tycoon, Thomas Kearns, the now lavish Governor's Mansion acts as the home for Utah governors and offers tours of the historic residence built in 1902. Though a significant portion of the Mansion incurred destruction from a fire in 1993, damaged sections were restored to resemble the original early twentieth century architecture and décor.
